Meeting Etiquette

Suggestions for a successful online meeting experience for all!

While we do not have rules in AA, we have suggestions and would hope that you might pay attention to some meeting etiquette. We are embarking on new territory by holding this meeting online. So, if you have suggestions, please let us know.

1: If you are the chair of the meeting, please read the following Early Riser Meeting Format.

2: When you want to share, you should raise your virtual hand and wait for the chairperson to call on you. You can also wave your hand in front of your camera and the chairperson will see you. Again, wait to be called on to speak.

3: Please mute your microphone when you are not speaking. (Just in case someone or something at your home makes loud noises, you might not realize, but it can be very loud to everyone else.) If you are not muted, the chairperson may mute your microphone to avoid distracting from the speaker.

5: No smoking in or around the virtual room. No wait.. what?
